Preheat the air fryer to 400°F.
Pat 2 cod fillets (6 ounces each) dry with paper towels.
Use the 1 tablespoon olive oil to coat both fillets (brush or rub the oil evenly over each fillet).
Evenly season the fillets with the 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder and 1/2 teaspoon paprika, then add salt and black pepper to taste.
Place the seasoned fillets in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving space between them.
Cook at 400°F for 10 minutes, flipping once halfway through (about 5 minutes), or until the cod is golden brown and flakes easily with a fork.
Remove the cod from the air fryer and serve.
