  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of salt, 1 tablespoon of baking powder, and 2 tablespoons of white sugar until well mixed.
  • In a separate bowl, beat the 2 eggs, then add 1 cup of warm milk, ½ cup of melted butter, and 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract. Mix until fully combined.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the bowl with the dry ingredients. Gently fold the mixture together until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are perfectly fine!
  • While your batter rests for a couple of minutes, preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  • Spray the waffle iron with non-stick cooking spray if necessary. Pour the appropriate amount of batter onto the preheated waffle iron (usually about ½ to ¾ cup, depending on your iron) and close the lid. Cook until the waffles are golden brown and crispy.
