Ingredients

  • 8 ounces Frozen Chopped Spinach thawed and squeezed dry
  • 1 ounce Ranch Dressing Mix
  • 8 ounces Cream Cheese room temperature, softened
  • 8 ounces Sour Cream
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese divided into two ½ cup portions

Instructions

  • Thaw the frozen chopped spinach thoroughly and squeeze out as much moisture as possible.
  • In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and sour cream until smooth and lump-free.
  • Sprinkle the ranch dressing mix into the cream cheese mixture and stir until fully incorporated. Fold in the well-drained spinach evenly.
  • Add ½ cup of shredded cheddar cheese to the mixture and stir well to distribute evenly.
  • For a cold dip, transfer to a serving bowl and sprinkle the remaining ½ cup cheddar cheese on top. For a warm dip, spread the mixture into a baking dish, top with the remaining cheese, and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 15-20 minutes until bubbly and golden on top.
  • Serve with your favorite dippers like tortilla chips, sliced baguette, or fresh vegetables.

Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Microwave or Stove
  • Cheese grater
  • Baking Dish (optional)
  • Serving Bowl or Platter

Notes

  • Squeeze out the spinach thoroughly to avoid a watery dip.
  • Use room temperature cream cheese for a smooth, lump-free texture.
  • Try serving the dip warm for a gooey, comforting treat or cold for a refreshing snack.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Substitute fresh spinach by sautéing and draining excess moisture before use.
