Ingredients

  • 8 ounces udon noodles
  • 1 pound beef sirloin thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger minced
  • 1 tablespoon red chili paste
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 carrot julienned
  • 1 bell pepper sliced
  • 2 green onions chopped
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Prepare the Udon Noodles

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add udon noodles and cook according to package instructions (8-10 minutes if dried, 2-3 minutes if fresh). Drain and rinse under cold water. Set aside.

Make the Spicy Sesame Sauce

  • In a small bowl, combine red chili paste, soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, and minced ginger. Stir well until fully incorporated.

Cook the Beef

  • Heat 1 tablespoon sesame oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add thinly sliced beef sirloin in a single layer. Season with salt and pepper. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until browned but tender. Remove beef and set aside.

Stir-Fry the Vegetables

  • Add remaining tablespoon of sesame oil to the skillet. Toss in julienned carrot and sliced bell pepper. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until crisp-tender and vibrant.

Combine Everything

  • Return cooked beef to skillet with vegetables. Pour in spicy sesame sauce and toss to coat evenly. Add drained udon noodles and gently toss to mix thoroughly. Heat through for 2 minutes.

Garnish and Serve

  • Remove from heat, transfer to serving bowls. Sprinkle chopped green onions and sesame seeds on top. Serve immediately.
