1cuppure maple syrup
2cupsall-purpose flour
1teaspoonsalt
1teaspoonbaking powder
1/2teaspoonbaking soda
1/2cupbrown sugarpacked
1/2cupgranulated sugar
2large eggs
1teaspoonvanilla extract
Sea saltfor topping
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line your 9x13-inch baking pan with parchment paper or grease it lightly with butter.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, salt, baking powder, and baking soda.
In a large mixing bowl, use an electric mixer or hand whisk to cream the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy, about 3 to 4 minutes.
Beat in the eggs, one at a time, ensuring each is fully incorporated before adding the next. Then, stir in the vanilla extract and maple syrup until combined.
Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, folding gently with a spatula until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
Pour the batter into your prepared pan and spread it evenly with the spatula. Smooth the top gently.
Sprinkle a generous pinch of sea salt evenly over the top of the batter.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes or until edges are golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs. Remove and place on a cooling rack to cool completely before slicing.

Notes
Use pure, high-quality maple syrup for the best flavor; avoid artificial syrups.
Do not overbake to keep bars soft and slightly chewy in the center.
Sea salt flakes add a lovely textural contrast and enhance sweetness.
Customize by adding chopped nuts or chocolate chips for extra texture and flavor.
Store bars in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or freeze for longer storage.
