Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups pitted dates soft, fresh
  • 1 ½ tbsp cocoa or cacao powder unsweetened
  • 1/8 tsp salt a pinch
  • small handful mini chocolate chips optional
  • coatings optional: cocoa powder, shredded coconut, or melted chocolate

Instructions

Raw Chocolate Fudge Balls Made Stepwise

  • Start by ensuring your pitted dates are soft and moist. If they’re a bit dry, soak them in warm water for about 10 minutes to rehydrate. Once softened, drain and set aside.
  • In a food processor, combine the pitted dates, cocoa powder, and salt. Pulse until the mixture becomes a sticky, cohesive dough. Scrape down the sides occasionally to ensure even blending.
  • If using mini chocolate chips, add them to the mixture and pulse a few more times until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
  • Using your hands, take a small amount of the mixture and roll it into bite-sized balls about 1 inch in diameter.
  • Optionally, roll each fudge ball in cocoa powder, shredded coconut, or melted chocolate to enhance flavor and presentation.
  • Place the finished fudge balls on a baking sheet or plate and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up. Once chilled, they are ready to enjoy!
