Ingredients

  • 14-16 ounces pizza dough store-bought or homemade
  • 1/2 cup chopped pepperoni turkey or beef pepperoni, cut into small pieces
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese freshly shredded
  • 2 tablespoons butter melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • grated Parmesan cheese optional, for sprinkling on top
  • marinara sauce for dipping

Instructions

  • Lightly flour your work surface and roll out the 14-16 ounces of pizza dough into a large rectangle about 12x15 inches.
  • Evenly spread the chopped pepperoni over the dough, leaving about a half-inch border around the edges. Then sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese generously on top.
  • Starting from one of the longer edges, carefully roll the dough into a tight log. Pinch the seams and ends to seal the roll.
  • Using a sharp knife or pizza cutter, slice the log into 1 to 1.5-inch thick pieces. Place each roll cut side up on a parchment-lined baking sheet, spaced about an inch apart.
  • In a small bowl, combine the melted butter with garlic powder and Italian seasoning. Brush this mixture generously over the tops of the rolls. Optionally, sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on top.
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake the pizza rolls for 15-18 minutes until golden brown and cheese is bubbly.
  • Remove from oven, let cool slightly, and serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping.
