Ingredients

  • 1-1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup white whole wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter room temperature
  • 1-1/2 cups dark brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla bean paste
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 package peanut butter Nestle DelightFulls
  • 1 cup mini dark chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to ensure even baking.
  • Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan with butter or line it with parchment paper for easy removal later.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, white whole wheat flour, baking soda, and kosher salt until well combined.
  • In a separate large bowl, beat the room temperature unsalted butter and dark brown sugar with a spatula or mixer until light and fluffy.
  • Mix in the vanilla bean paste and the two large eggs, one at a time, until everything is well combined.
  • Gradually add the dry flour mixture into the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  • Gently fold in the mini dark chocolate chips, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the dough.
  • Spread half of the cookie dough into the prepared baking pan, creating an even layer. Place the peanut butter Nestle DelightFulls evenly over the top, then dollop the remaining cookie dough over the peanut butter, spreading it gently to cover.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Allow the bars to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely. Once cooled, cut them into squares and enjoy!

  • Use milk chocolate chips or different nut butters for flavor variations.
  • Allow bars to cool completely before cutting to prevent them from falling apart.
