Ingredients

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9x9-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang on the sides.
  • In a large bowl, combine the creamy peanut butter and granulated sugar. Mix well until smooth. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract until fully incorporated.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, folding gently until no streaks remain. Be careful not to overmix.
  • Spread the peanut butter brownie batter evenly into the prepared pan. Drizzle the caramel sauce over the top in small spoonfuls. Using a toothpick or skewer, gently swirl the caramel into the batter to create a marbled effect.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the edges are set and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Avoid overbaking to keep the brownies fudgy. Let the brownies cool completely in the pan on a wire rack before slicing.

Equipment

  • 9x9 inch baking pan

Notes

  • Store brownies at room temperature in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
  • Swap creamy peanut butter with natural or almond butter for different flavors.
  • Use brown sugar instead of granulated sugar for a deeper caramel-like sweetness.
