Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • ½ cup unsalted butter melted
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon dried thyme
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Directions: Parmesan Herb Chicken

  • Start by preheating your oven to 400°F (200°C). If your chicken breasts are uneven in thickness, gently pound them to an even layer to promote uniform cooking. Pat the chicken dry with paper towels and season both sides generously with salt and pepper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the melted unsalted butter and olive oil. Add the minced garlic, dried basil, dried oregano, dried thyme, and red pepper flakes. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until well combined.
  • Dip each chicken breast into the Parmesan herb mixture, pressing down slightly to ensure the coating sticks well. Lay the coated chicken breasts evenly in your baking dish or oven-safe skillet.
  • Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the topping is golden and bubbling. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C) for safe consumption.
  • Remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes. Sprinkle freshly chopped parsley over the top for a pop of color and freshness. Serve immediately with your favorite side dishes.
