Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup salted butter melted
  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup graham crackers crushed
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup creamy peanut butter for chocolate topping
  • 2 tablespoons creamy peanut butter for chocolate topping

Instructions

  • Line your 9x9 inch baking pan with parchment paper, allowing some overhang on the sides for easy lifting.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine melted salted butter, powdered sugar, and brown sugar. Stir until smooth and fully blended.
  • Fold in crushed graham crackers and 1 cup creamy peanut butter. Mix thoroughly until mixture holds together like thick dough.
  • Transfer peanut butter mixture into prepared pan and press down firmly and evenly to form a solid base layer.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, combine semi-sweet chocolate chips with 1/4 cup and 2 tablespoons creamy peanut butter. Heat in short bursts, stirring frequently, until fully melted and smooth.
  • Pour melted chocolate peanut butter mixture over base layer and spread evenly with a spatula.
  • Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until bars are firm and set.
  • Use parchment paper overhang to lift bars from pan. Cut into squares or rectangles and serve.

  • Mixing Bowls
  • Measuring Cups and Spoons
  • 9x9 inch baking pan

Notes

  • Press the base layer firmly to avoid crumbly bars; add a bit more butter or peanut butter if needed.
  • Melt chocolate topping in short bursts and stir often to prevent burning.
  • Store bars in the refrigerator for up to 5 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
