Ingredients

For the Cheesecake:

  • 6 ounces pre-made Oreo pie crust
  • 12 ounces cream cheese room temperature
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup full-fat sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 ounces semi-sweet baking bar chopped
  • 8 ounces tub whipped topping thawed
  • 1 cup canned cherry pie filling
  • 4 ounces semi-sweet chocolate baking bar broken into small pieces
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable shortening
  • Chocolate curls optional garnish

Instructions

Instructions

  • Step 1: Prepare the Cream Cheese Mixture - In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth and creamy using an electric mixer. This should take about 2-3 minutes.
  • Step 2: Add Sugar and Sour Cream - Gradually add the granulated sugar and full-fat sour cream to the cream cheese, mixing until well combined. Then, add the vanilla extract and mix until smooth.
  • Step 3: Melt the Chocolate - In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chopped semi-sweet baking bar in 20-second intervals, stirring in between until fully melted and smooth. Allow it to cool slightly before adding it to the cream cheese mixture.
  • Step 4: Combine Everything - Fold the melted chocolate into the cream cheese mixture until fully incorporated. Gently fold in the thawed whipped topping until no streaks remain.
  • Step 5: Assemble the Cheesecake - Pour half of the cheesecake filling into the pre-made Oreo pie crust. Spoon half of the cherry pie filling over the cheesecake layer. Add the remaining cheesecake filling on top, smoothing it out with a spatula. Top with the remaining cherry pie filling.
  • Step 6: Chill the Cheesecake - Cover the cheesecake with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.
  • Step 7: Garnish and Serve - Before serving, melt the remaining semi-sweet chocolate with the vegetable shortening in a microwave-safe bowl. Drizzle the chocolate over the cheesecake and add chocolate curls on top for garnish. Slice, serve, and enjoy the decadent flavors!
