My Favorite Easy Parmesan Orzo Side Dish
A quick, creamy Parmesan orzo that's ready in minutes and makes a comforting side.

Ingredients
4
ounces
orzo
about 2/3 cup

tablespoon
butter
about 14 g

tablespoons
cream or milk
1/4
cup
shredded Parmesan cheese
about 1 oz
salt
to taste
black pepper
to taste
parsley
for garnish, optional
Instructions
Bring a medium pot of lightly salted water to a boil.
Add the orzo and cook according to package directions until al dente, about 7–10 minutes.
Drain the orzo in a colander and return it to the pot off the heat.
Add the butter and stir until melted and coated through the pasta.
Stir in the cream or milk and the shredded Parmesan until creamy and combined.
Season with salt and pepper to taste and toss to combine.
Serve immediately, garnished with parsley if using.
