Ingredients

  • 1 cup Coca-Cola soda
  • 3 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 3 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 Tbsp garlic minced
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp lime juice
  • 1 cup hot sauce
  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the Coca-Cola, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, brown sugar, lime juice, and hot sauce. Whisk together until the brown sugar is fully dissolved and the mixture is well combined.
  • Place the boneless skinless chicken breasts in a resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring each piece is well-coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish, and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator. For best results, marinate for 2-4 hours or overnight if possible.
  • Preheat a skillet or grill pan over medium heat. If using a grill, preheat to medium-high.
  • Remove the chicken from the marinade, allowing any excess to drip off. Place the chicken breasts in the preheated skillet or on the grill. Cook for about 6-7 minutes per side, or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F. During the last few minutes, brush extra marinade over the chicken for added flavor.
  • Remove the chicken from heat and let it rest for a few minutes to allow juices to redistribute. Slice if desired and serve with your favorite sides.

Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Whisk
  • Measuring Cups and Spoons
  • Skillet or Grill Pan
  • Tongs

Notes

  • Marinate the chicken for at least 30 minutes; longer marinating enhances flavor.
  • Let the cooked chicken rest before slicing to keep it juicy.
  • Use low-sodium soy sauce or substitute brown sugar with honey for dietary preferences.
