Ingredients

  • 150 g butter softened
  • 480 g all-purpose flour
  • 150 g sugar
  • 2 eggs slightly beaten
  • 1 orange zest from one orange
  • 4 tablespoons milk
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 150 g sesame seeds

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened butter and sugar. Beat until light and fluffy.
  • Pour in the slightly beaten eggs and orange zest. Mix until well combined.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and sea salt. Gradually add to the wet ingredients.
  • Add the milk to the dough, mixing until smooth.
  • Shape dough into tablespoon-sized balls and roll in sesame seeds. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Bake for about 15-20 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
  • Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
