Ingredients

  • 16 oz Breakfast Sausage ground pork or preferred sausage
  • Salt to taste
  • Black Pepper to taste
  • Garlic Powder to taste
  • Onion Powder to taste
  • Cooking Spray or Oil for greasing the baking sheet

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) to ensure the patties brown beautifully.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with cooking spray or oil for easy cleanup and to prevent sticking.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the 16oz of breakfast sausage with your chosen seasonings (salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder). Mix thoroughly to distribute flavors evenly.
  • Shape the sausage mixture into about 8 even patties, each approximately 1/2 inch thick.
  • Arrange the patties spaced evenly on the prepared baking sheet to allow proper cooking.
  • Bake the sausage patties in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, flipping them halfway through to achieve even browning.
  • Check the internal temperature with a meat thermometer to ensure it has reached 160°F (71°C) for safe consumption.
  • Remove the patties from the oven and let them rest for a minute before serving hot with your favorite breakfast sides.

Equipment

  • Baking Sheet
  • Parchment Paper
  • Meat Thermometer
  • Mixing Bowl

Notes

  • Prepare patties up to 24 hours in advance and store in the fridge for convenience.
  • Freeze patties in a single layer then transfer to freezer bags for up to 3 months; bake from frozen with extra cooking time.
  • Customize seasonings or try leaner sausage options like turkey for healthier variations.
