Ingredients

  • 2 pounds chicken wings
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Green onions chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Chicken Wings

  • Pat the 2 pounds of chicken wings dry with paper towels. Lightly season them with salt and pepper on all sides.

Make the Honey-Garlic Pickle Sauce

  • In a medium bowl, whisk together 1/2 cup honey, 1/4 cup soy sauce, 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar, minced garlic, and minced ginger to create the sauce.

Cook the Chicken Wings

  • Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the wings in a single layer without overcrowding. Cook for 6-8 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature 165°F / 74°C).

Glaze the Wings

  • Reduce heat to medium-low. Pour the honey-garlic pickle sauce over the wings in the skillet. Toss gently to coat evenly. Simmer for 3-5 minutes to thicken the glaze.

Garnish and Serve

  • Transfer wings to a serving platter and sprinkle with chopped green onions. Serve immediately while hot and sticky.

Equipment

  • Large Skillet
  • Medium Bowl
  • Meat Thermometer

Notes

  • For extra crispy wings, bake at 425°F (220°C) for 25-30 minutes before saucing.
  • Use fresh garlic and ginger for the best flavor.
  • Adjust apple cider vinegar and honey to control tanginess.
  • Dry wings thoroughly before cooking for crisp skin.
  • Add chili flakes or sriracha for a spicy kick.
