Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup hot sauce Choose your favorite brand; Frank’s RedHot is a classic
  • 4 1/2 tablespoons honey good-quality
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 3/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper adjust to taste for heat

Instructions

Method: Honey Buffalo Sauce

  • In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the unsalted butter slowly to prevent burning and create a creamy base.
  • Once the butter is melted, add in the hot sauce and stir gently to combine thoroughly.
  • Pour in the honey and add the brown sugar. Stir continuously until the sugar dissolves completely and the mixture is smooth.
  • Add the Worcestershire sauce to the saucepan, stirring well to enhance the savory flavor.
  • Sprinkle in the garlic powder and cayenne pepper. Adjust the cayenne according to your heat preference. Stir everything together until combined.
  • Allow the sauce to simmer on low heat for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally to meld flavors and thicken slightly.
  • Remove from heat once desired consistency is reached. Let cool before transferring to a container for storage.
