Ingredients

Gravy

  • 1 batch Homemade brown beef gravy Or use a gravy packet for convenience.

Cheese Curds

  • 8 oz Cheese curds At room temperature for melting.

Instructions

  • Step 1: Prepare the French Fries. Peel and cut the potatoes into even strips, soak in cold water for at least an hour, then drain and dry.
  • Step 2: Fry the Potatoes. Heat oil to 350°F (175°C) and fry the potatoes in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Step 3: Make the Gravy. Prepare homemade brown beef gravy or follow packet instructions to have it hot and ready.
  • Step 4: Assemble the Poutine. Layer fries, sprinkle cheese curds, and drizzle hot gravy over the top.
