Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • seasoning of your choice (e.g., salt, pepper, garlic powder)
  • hamburger buns fresh and soft
  • condiments ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, or favorite sauces
  • fresh lettuce crisp
  • fresh sliced tomato juicy and vibrant
  • 4 slices cheese optional, cheddar, Swiss, or American

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with your chosen seasoning without overworking the mixture.
  • Divide the beef mixture into 3-4 equal portions and shape each into a round patty about ¾ inch thick. Make a slight indent in the center of each patty.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the patties on it, spaced apart.
  • Bake the burgers in the oven for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway through. Add cheese slices during the last 5 minutes if desired.
  • Optionally, toast the buns in the oven during the last 2-3 minutes of baking for a crunchy texture.
  • Remove burgers from the oven and let rest for a few minutes. Assemble burgers with lettuce, tomato, condiments, and buns.

Equipment

  • Oven
  • Baking Sheet
  • Parchment Paper
  • Kitchen thermometer

Notes

  • Use a kitchen thermometer to ensure burgers reach 160°F (70°C) for safety and juiciness.
  • Do not press down on patties while cooking to keep them moist.
  • Store cooked burgers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days; freeze uncooked patties for up to 3 months.
