Ingredients

  • 1 cup plain whole milk Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill chopped, optional
  • 2 teaspoons honey gently warmed

Instructions

Make Greek Yogurt Dressing: A Simple Method

  • Start by collecting all the ingredients listed above. It’s easier to whip up a dressing when everything is at hand.
  • In a mixing bowl, add 1 cup of plain whole milk Greek yogurt as the creamy base.
  • Pour in 2 tablespoons of freshly squeezed lemon juice, then add 1 clove minced garlic, 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt, and 1/4 teaspoon black pepper.
  • Pour in 2 tablespoons of olive oil to add richness and balance the tanginess.
  • Add 2 teaspoons of gently warmed honey to round out the flavors with sweetness.
  • If using, fold in 2 tablespoons of chopped fresh dill for a refreshing herbal note.
  • Whisk all ingredients until well combined and smooth. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
  • Cover and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors meld. Serve over salads, as a dip, or sauce.

Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Whisk or fork

Notes

  • Adjust sweetness with more honey if the dressing is too tangy.
  • Thin the dressing with extra olive oil or water if it’s too thick.
  • Use half a clove of garlic if you prefer a milder garlic flavor.
  • Store in an airtight container in the fridge up to 5 days; stir before serving.
  • Try variations with different herbs, spices, or avocado for new flavors.
