Ingredients

  • 8 oz beef sirloin thinly sliced
  • 8 oz egg noodles fresh or dried
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil for stir-frying
  • 1 bell pepper sliced; red, yellow, or green
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 2 green onions sliced for garnish
  • salt to taste

Instructions

Make Garlic Black Pepper Beef Noodles: A Simple Method

  • Start by thinly slicing the beef sirloin against the grain to ensure tenderness. Mince the garlic cloves finely. Slice the bell pepper and chop the broccoli into bite-sized florets. Slice green onions for garnish and set everything aside.
  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the egg noodles and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 5 minutes. Drain using a colander and set aside, tossing with a little oil if desired to prevent sticking.
  • Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Add the thinly sliced beef and stir-fry until it turns brown and is nearly cooked through, about 3-4 minutes. Sprinkle in the black pepper while cooking to bring out that signature spice.
  • Push the beef to one side of the skillet and add the remaining 1 tablespoon of oil. Toss in the sliced bell pepper and broccoli florets. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until they are tender but still crisp. This adds vibrant texture and nutrients to the dish.
  • Add the cooked noodles back into the skillet with the beef and vegetables. Pour in the soy sauce and oyster sauce, tossing everything together to coat evenly. Adjust salt to taste. Stir-fry for another 2 minutes to meld the flavors and heat everything through.
  • Remove from heat and sprinkle sliced green onions on top. Serve your Garlic Black Pepper Beef Noodles hot and enjoy the perfect blend of garlic aroma, peppery kick, and savory sauce.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, swap egg noodles for zucchini noodles or shirataki noodles.
  • To keep it gluten-free, use tamari instead of soy sauce and a gluten-free oyster sauce alternative.
  • Want more heat? Toss in some crushed red pepper flakes or sliced fresh chili peppers when stir-frying.
