Ingredients

  • 1 package original Oreos 15-ounce
  • 8 ounces cream cheese at room temperature
  • 1 package Ghirardelli melting wafers 12-ounce, white or dark
  • sprinkles optional, for garnish

Instructions

The Method for Easy Oreo Truffles

  • Start by placing the entire package of Oreos into a food processor. Pulse until the cookies are finely crushed to a powdery texture.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the Oreo crumbs with 8 ounces of cream cheese. Mix until fully combined and the mixture is thick and moldable.
  • Using your hands, scoop out a tablespoon of the mixture and roll it into a ball. Place each ball onto a parchment-lined baking sheet. Make about 24 truffles.
  • Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to allow the truffles to firm up for easy dipping later on.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the Ghirardelli melting wafers according to the package instructions. Stir every 30 seconds until smooth and fully melted.
  • Once the truffles are chilled, dip each one into the melted chocolate using a fork or spoon. Allow excess chocolate to drip off before returning to the baking sheet.
  • If desired, sprinkle colorful sprinkles on top of the melted chocolate before it sets for a festive touch.
  • Allow the chocolate-coated truffles to set at room temperature or refrigerate until the chocolate hardens.
