Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 3-4 cloves garlic adjust according to taste
  • 1 cup tahini
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4-1/2 cup water to adjust consistency

Instructions

Method

  • Start by peeling the garlic cloves. Mince them finely or crush using a garlic press. Add extra cloves if you prefer a stronger garlic flavor.
  • In a blender or food processor, combine tahini, lemon juice, minced garlic, cumin, and salt. Blend on high speed until smooth and creamy.
  • While blending, gradually add water starting with 1/4 cup. Continue blending until the sauce reaches your desired consistency. Add more water if a thinner sauce is preferred.
  • Taste the tahini sauce and adjust seasoning as needed. Add more lemon juice for tanginess or more garlic for extra flavor.
  • Serve immediately or store in an airtight container in the fridge. Enjoy with salads, grilled vegetables, or as a dip.
