Ingredients

  • 24 ounce chocolate chips milk chocolate, semi-sweet, or dark, depending on your preference
  • 1.25 cups sweetened condensed milk store-bought or homemade
  • 0.125 teaspoon kosher salt to enhance the chocolate flavor
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract for extra flavor
  • 0.125 teaspoon espresso powder optional, adds rich depth to the chocolate
  • 0.5 cup optional mix-ins roasted nuts, candies, cookies, or fruit

Instructions

  • In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth.
  • Once melted, stir in the kosher salt, vanilla extract, and espresso powder (if using). Mix until well combined.
  • If you’re adding any mix-ins like nuts or candies, fold them into the chocolate mixture now.
  • Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly with a spatula. Smooth the top for a nice finish.
  • Place the fudge in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or until it is firm enough to cut into squares.
  • Once set, lift the fudge out of the pan using parchment paper (if used) and cut it into squares. Enjoy your homemade fudge!
