Ingredients

  • 1 bag (16 oz) large marshmallows
  • 2 batches Six-Minute Salted Caramel Sauce
  • 8 ounces dark chocolate melted
  • 2 teaspoons coconut or canola oil
  • 1/4 cup crushed graham cracker crumbs

Instructions

Make the Salted Caramel Sauce

  • Start by preparing two batches of the Six-Minute Salted Caramel Sauce. Follow the recipe carefully to achieve that perfect balance of sweet and salty. Once done, set aside the sauce to cool slightly.

Prepare Your Work Area

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. This will serve as the resting place for your delicious creations. Set your melted dark chocolate and crushed graham cracker crumbs nearby for easy access.

Melt the Chocolate

  • In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the melted dark chocolate with 2 teaspoons of coconut or canola oil. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until fully melted and combined to get a smooth, glossy finish.

Dip the Marshmallows

  • Using a skewer or lollipop stick, dip each marshmallow into the warm salted caramel sauce, allowing any excess to drip off. Place the caramel-coated marshmallow onto the prepared baking sheet.
  • After dipping in caramel, immediately dip the marshmallow into the melted dark chocolate, making sure it is fully coated. Allow any excess chocolate to drip off.
  • Before the chocolate sets, sprinkle the crushed graham cracker crumbs over the top of the chocolate-dipped marshmallow for that perfect finishing touch.
  • Allow the marshmallows to sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes or until the chocolate has completely hardened. You can also refrigerate them for faster setting.

Equipment

  • Baking Sheet
  • Parchment Paper
  • Microwave-safe bowl
  • Skewers or lollipop sticks
  • Medium Saucepan

Notes

  • Store marshmallows in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week.
  • Try using milk or white chocolate for a different flavor experience.
  • Add toppings like chopped nuts or sprinkles before the chocolate sets for extra texture.
  • Reheat caramel sauce gently if it becomes too thick, adding a splash of cream or milk if needed.
  • Flavored marshmallows such as vanilla or peppermint add a fun twist to the recipe.
