Instructions
Prepare the Tofu
Drain the tofu by wrapping it in a clean kitchen towel or paper towels and placing a weight on top for about 15-20 minutes to remove excess moisture.
Cut the drained tofu into bite-sized cubes or rectangles, ensuring uniform pieces for even cooking.
Make the Marinade and Coat the Tofu
In a mixing bowl, whisk together avocado oil, tamari, and sriracha to create the marinade.
Add the tofu cubes to the marinade and gently toss until well-coated. Sprinkle cornstarch over the tofu and toss again evenly.
Cook the Tofu
Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
Place the coated tofu in the air fryer basket in a single layer without overcrowding; cook in batches if needed.
Air fry for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking, until golden and crispy.
Serve
Remove tofu from the air fryer and let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy on its own, in salads, or wraps!
