Ingredients

  • 8 oz ramen noodles preferably fresh or dried without seasoning packets
  • 1 lb beef sirloin thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp ginger minced
  • 1 bell pepper sliced (any color you prefer)
  • 1 cup snap peas trimmed
  • 3 green onions sliced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce choose a low-sodium option if preferred
  • 1 tbsp chili paste adjust based on your heat preference
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Step 1: Prep Your Ingredients

  • Start by slicing your beef sirloin thinly against the grain. This ensures tender bites. Mince the garlic and ginger, slice the bell pepper, trim the snap peas, and slice the green onions. Set everything aside so you’re ready to cook.

Step 2: Cook the Ramen Noodles

  • Bring a pot of water to a boil and cook the ramen noodles according to package instructions, usually about 3-4 minutes for fresh or dried noodles. Drain and rinse under cold water to stop the cooking process. Set aside.

Step 3: Sauté the Beef

  • Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in your skillet over medium-high heat. Add the thinly sliced beef in a single layer and season lightly with salt and pepper. Cook for about 2-3 minutes until browned and just cooked through. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.

Step 4: Cook the Aromatics and Veggies

  • In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil. Toss in the minced garlic and ginger, stirring for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Add the sliced bell pepper and snap peas and sauté for 3-4 minutes until they’re tender-crisp.

Step 5: Bring It All Together

  • Return the cooked beef to the skillet with the veggies. Add the drained ramen noodles, soy sauce, chili paste, and sesame oil. Toss everything together over medium heat for another 2-3 minutes so the noodles soak up the sauce and the flavors meld beautifully.

Step 6: Garnish and Serve

  • Remove from heat and sprinkle the sliced green onions on top. Give it a final toss and serve immediately for the best taste and texture. If you want a side, pairing this with some Easy Garlic Bread is a delicious choice.
