Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground sausage hot or mild, depending on your spice preference
  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 8 ounces sour cream
  • 8 ounces Velveeta cheese cubed
  • 2 10-ounce cans Ro-Tel diced tomatoes and green chilies undrained
  • 3 tablespoons diced pickled jalapeños adjust to taste

Instructions

  • In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground sausage. Cook until browned and fully cooked through, breaking it apart with a spatula as it cooks. Drain any excess grease and remove from heat.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and sour cream. Use a spatula to mix until smooth and well combined.
  • Add the cooked sausage, cubed Velveeta cheese, undrained Ro-Tel tomatoes, and diced pickled jalapeños to the mixing bowl. Stir well to ensure everything is evenly mixed.
  • Transfer the mixture to a serving dish. You can either microwave it in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until hot and bubbly, or place it on the stovetop over low heat, stirring frequently until melted and creamy.
