Ingredients

  • 1 pound large shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). This ensures that your shrimp will cook evenly and develop that gorgeous golden color.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the peeled and deveined shrimp with olive oil, minced garlic, paprika, red pepper flakes, kosher salt, and black pepper. Toss everything together until the shrimp are well coated in the flavorful mixture.
  • Line your baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup. Spread the seasoned shrimp in a single layer on the baking sheet, making sure they are not overcrowded.
  • Generously sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the shrimp. The cheese will melt and create a delicious, crispy topping as it bakes.
  • Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for about 10-12 minutes, or until the shrimp are pink and opaque. Keep an eye on them to avoid overcooking!
  • Once your shrimp are perfectly baked, remove them from the oven and squeeze fresh lemon juice over the top. Serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side for an extra burst of freshness.

Equipment

  • Baking Sheet

Notes

  • Do not overcook the shrimp to keep them tender and juicy.
  • Marinate the shrimp in olive oil and spices for 15-30 minutes before baking for deeper flavor.
  • Try substituting Parmesan with Pecorino Romano or nutritional yeast for different tastes.
  • Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 3 days or frozen for up to 2 months.
  • Reheat leftovers in a 350°F oven for 5-7 minutes until warmed through.
