Ingredients

  • 4 lbs chicken wings fresh or frozen (thawed)
  • 2 tablespoons baking powder for ultra-crispy texture
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper for seasoning
  • 1 cup hot sauce Frank's recommended
  • 2 tablespoons molasses adds sweetness to balance heat
  • 4 tablespoons butter unsalted or salted

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) to ensure crispy wings.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine chicken wings, baking powder, and ground black pepper. Toss to coat evenly.
  • Place a wire rack on a rimmed baking sheet. Arrange the coated wings in a single layer on the rack without touching.
  • Bake wings for 40-45 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown and crispy.
  • While wings bake, melt butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Add hot sauce and molasses, stirring to combine. Simmer for a few minutes.
  • Remove wings from oven and place in a large bowl. Drizzle sauce over wings and toss gently to coat evenly. Serve immediately.
