Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil lightly brush
  • 8 oz Brie Cheese Round room temperature
  • 1 cup Shelled Pistachios whole or crushed
  • 2 tbsp Honey
  • 1 tsp Dried Thyme
  • Red Pepper Flakes optional, to taste
  • Crusty Bread for serving

Instructions

Baked Honey Brie Made Stepwise

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Let the 8-ounce brie cheese round come to room temperature for about 10 minutes.
  • Lightly brush the brie round with 2 tablespoons of olive oil to create a golden, slightly crispy exterior once baked.
  • In a small bowl, combine 2 tablespoons of honey with 1 teaspoon of dried thyme and optional red pepper flakes to taste. Stir until well blended.
  • Place the oiled brie in your oven-safe dish or skillet. Drizzle the honey-thyme mixture generously over the top of the cheese, then sprinkle 1 cup of shelled pistachios over the honey.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes until the cheese is soft and melty but not collapsed, and the pistachios are lightly toasted.
  • Remove from the oven and let rest for a couple of minutes. Serve warm with slices of crusty bread for dipping.

Equipment

  • Oven-Safe Baking Dish or Small Cast-Iron Skillet
  • Small Bowl
  • Spatula or spoon
  • Knife

Notes

  • Use extra virgin olive oil for a richer flavor and health benefits.
  • Swap honey with pure maple syrup for a vegan-friendly alternative.
  • Leftover baked brie can be refrigerated and reheated gently in the oven for up to 2 days.
