Ingredients

  • 0.25 cup Greek yogurt or sour cream adds a creamy tang to the avocado ranch sauce while keeping it light
  • 0.25 cup light ranch dressing use bottled for convenience or homemade for a fresher taste
  • 1 tablespoon fresh cilantro or parsley minced, brightens the sauce with herby freshness
  • salt & pepper to taste, essential for seasoning the sauce perfectly
  • 4 medium flour tortillas the wrap base – soft and pliable for easy rolling
  • 2 cups cooked chicken chopped or shredded, use your favorite cooked chicken or leftover rotisserie chicken
  • 1 avocado peeled & pitted and sliced, creamy and rich, the star of the wrap
  • 1 large tomato sliced, adds juicy sweetness and a fresh bite
  • 0.25 cup shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese optional, for a melty, cheesy dimension

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the Greek yogurt (or sour cream), light ranch dressing, and minced fresh cilantro or parsley. Stir well until smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Warm your flour tortillas in a dry skillet over medium heat for about 20-30 seconds on each side, or microwave them for 15-20 seconds wrapped in a damp paper towel.
  • Lay each tortilla flat and spread a generous amount of the avocado ranch sauce down the center. Add about 1/2 cup of cooked chicken, followed by slices of fresh avocado and tomato. If using cheese, sprinkle a little shredded cheddar or mozzarella on top.
  • Fold in the sides of the tortilla, then roll it tightly from the bottom up to encase all the fillings. Make sure the wrap is snug so nothing spills out when you bite in.
  • Slice the wraps in half if desired and serve immediately. Optionally, toast the wrapped burritos in a skillet for 1-2 minutes per side until golden brown for a warm, melty finish.

Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Sharp Knife
  • Cutting Board
  • Measuring Cups and Spoons
  • Non-stick skillet or griddle

Notes

  • For a vegetarian option, substitute chicken with cooked chickpeas or grilled turkey breast.
  • Store avocado slices separately to prevent browning if preparing in advance.
  • Freeze cooked chicken and sauce separately, but avoid freezing fully assembled wraps to maintain texture.
