Ingredients

  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 1 ripe mango
  • 4 cups fresh spinach
  • 1 banana
  • 2 cups water or coconut water or almond milk

Instructions

  • Start by cutting the avocado in half, removing the pit, and scooping the flesh into your blender. Next, peel and chop the mango and banana, adding them to the blender as well.
  • Rinse the fresh spinach thoroughly under running water to remove any dirt or grit. Once washed, add it to the blender.
  • Pour in 2 cups of water. If you prefer a sweeter flavor, consider using coconut water or almond milk instead.
  • Blend all the ingredients on high speed until you achieve a smooth and creamy consistency. If the mixture is too thick, you can add a bit more water to reach your desired thickness.
  • Taste your smoothie and feel free to adjust the sweetness if necessary. You can add a drizzle of honey or a splash of maple syrup if you prefer it sweeter.
  • Pour the smoothie into a glass or mason jar, and enjoy immediately. You can also garnish it with a slice of avocado or a sprinkle of chia seeds for an extra touch.

Equipment

  • High-Speed Blender
  • Measuring Cups
  • Cutting Board
  • Knife
  • Glass or mason jar

Notes

  • This smoothie can be customized by adding protein powder or nut butter for extra nutrition and richness.
  • Use frozen mango or banana to create a colder, thicker texture.
  • For best flavor and creaminess, use a perfectly ripe avocado that yields slightly to gentle pressure.
  • Leftovers can be refrigerated up to 24 hours but may oxidize and change color; freezing is possible for up to three months.
  • Substitute kale for spinach for a stronger flavor or use less avocado and banana to lighten the smoothie.
