Ingredients

  • 48 ounces ribeye steaks
  • 1/3 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

Prepare the Marinade

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the balsamic vinegar, soy sauce, vegetable oil, Worcestershire sauce, maple syrup, and brown sugar. Use a whisk to blend the ingredients until the sugar dissolves and the mixture is well combined.

Add the Spices

  • Sprinkle in the onion powder, garlic powder, ginger powder, and red pepper flakes. Whisk again to ensure all the spices are evenly distributed throughout the marinade.

Marinate the Steak

  • Place your ribeye steaks in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the steaks, making sure they are fully submerged. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or up to 24 hours for maximum flavor.

Cook the Steak

  • Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Remove the steaks from the marinade, allowing any excess marinade to drip off. Cook the steaks for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until your desired doneness is reached. Let the steaks rest for a few minutes before slicing.

Garnish and Serve

  • Slice the steaks against the grain and garnish with chopped green onions for a fresh, vibrant touch. Serve with your favorite sides and enjoy the explosion of flavors!

Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Whisk
  • Resealable Plastic Bag or Shallow Dish
  • Grill or Skillet
  • Tongs

Notes

  • Marinate the steak for at least 1 hour for best flavor, but no longer than 24 hours to avoid overly soft meat.
  • Pat steaks dry before cooking to achieve a better sear.
  • Store leftover marinade that has not touched raw meat in the refrigerator up to one week; discard any marinade used with raw meat.
