Ingredients

For the Almonds:

  • 1 1/2 cups plain almonds raw or blanched
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

Instructions

Steps

  • Start by placing 1 1/2 cups of plain almonds in a mixing bowl. If you prefer, you can lightly toast them beforehand to enhance their flavor.
  • In the same bowl, add 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika, 1 teaspoon of salt, 1 teaspoon of white vinegar, and 1 teaspoon of sesame oil. The vinegar will help the spices stick to the almonds while adding a subtle tang.
  • Using a spatula or spoon, toss the almonds until they are well coated with the spice mixture. Make sure every almond is evenly covered for the best flavor.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for about 3-5 minutes. Preheating ensures that the almonds roast evenly.
  • Once preheated, spread the almonds in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook them for 8-10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to promote even roasting.
  • Once the almonds are golden brown and fragrant, remove them from the air fryer and let them cool completely. Store them in an airtight container to maintain their crunchiness.

  • Air Fryer
  • Mixing Bowl

Notes

  • Keep an eye on the almonds while roasting to avoid overcooking and burning.
  • Make sure to coat almonds evenly with oil and vinegar to prevent them from sticking together.
  • Shake the air fryer basket halfway through cooking for even roasting.
  • Store roasted almonds in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two weeks.
  • Customize flavors by adding cayenne pepper, maple syrup, herbs, or garlic powder.
