Ingredients

  • 16 ounces gnocchi fresh or frozen
  • 2 teaspoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon oregano or Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt plus more to taste
  • 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 pinch crushed red pepper flakes optional

Instructions

  • If your air fryer recommends preheating, preheat to 380°F (195°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the gnocchi with 2 teaspoons olive oil, 1 teaspoon oregano, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt, 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan, and a pinch of crushed red pepper flakes; toss until evenly coated.
  • Arrange the seasoned gnocchi in a single layer in the air fryer basket or tray, working in batches if needed; slight overlap is okay.
  • Air fry at 380°F (195°C). For fresh gnocchi, cook about 8–10 minutes total; for frozen gnocchi, cook about 12–15 minutes total. Shake the basket after the first 5 minutes and then every 2–3 minutes until gnocchi are golden brown and crisp.
  • Remove and serve immediately with marinara or pizza sauce on the side, if desired.

Equipment

  • Air Fryer
  • Mixing Bowl

Notes

  • Use fresh or frozen potato, cauliflower, or sweet potato gnocchi.
  • If using dried gnocchi, cook per package and cool before air frying.
  • You can reduce oil to 1 teaspoon, but oil helps browning better than spray.
  • Serve immediately for best texture.
  • Adjust salt to taste after cooking.
