Ingredients

  • 1 pound chicken tenders fresh or thawed
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • seasoning salt your favorite blend or homemade mix

Instructions

Method: Air-Fryer Chicken Tenders, No Breading

  • Rinse chicken tenders under cold water and pat dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
  • In a mixing bowl, toss chicken tenders with 2 teaspoons olive oil until evenly coated. Sprinkle seasoning salt over chicken and toss again to season all pieces.
  • Preheat air fryer to 390°F (200°C) for 3-5 minutes.
  • Place the seasoned chicken tenders in a single layer in the air fryer basket, avoiding overcrowding. Cook in batches if necessary.
  • Air fry chicken tenders for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through using tongs for even cooking.
  • Check internal temperature with a meat thermometer; chicken should reach 165°F (75°C). If needed, cook an additional 1-2 minutes.
  • Remove chicken tenders from air fryer and let rest for a couple of minutes before serving. Enjoy warm with your favorite dipping sauce or sides.

Equipment

  • Air Fryer
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Tongs
  • Meat Thermometer

Notes

  • Use avocado oil or other high-smoke point oils as a substitute for olive oil.
  • Try different seasoning blends like garlic powder, onion powder, or paprika for varied flavors.
  • Chicken breasts cut into strips can be used if tenders are unavailable.
  • For a different cooking method, bake at 400°F for 20-25 minutes instead of air frying.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
