Ingredients

  • 1 lb organic whole carrots peeled and sliced into diagonal pieces
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or slightly less for air fryer
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • fresh ground black pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper optional for heat

Instructions

  • Start by peeling your organic carrots. Once peeled, slice them diagonally into even pieces. This will help them cook evenly and look beautiful on the plate.
  • In a small bowl, combine the salt, black pepper, cumin, coriander, paprika, cinnamon, and cayenne pepper (if using). This fragrant spice mix is what gives the carrots their Moroccan flair.
  • In a large mixing bowl, toss the sliced carrots with the olive oil. Ensure they are evenly coated to help the spices adhere. Sprinkle the spice mix over the carrots and toss again until they are well-seasoned.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Place the seasoned carrots in the air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure not to overcrowd them. Cook for about 15-18 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking. The carrots should be golden brown and tender when done.
  • Once cooked, remove the carrots from the air fryer and transfer them to a serving dish. You can garnish with fresh herbs like parsley or cilantro for a pop of color and freshness. Enjoy your Air Fryer Carrots with Moroccan Spice warm!
