Air Fryer Buffalo Chicken Wontons

Crispy air-fried wontons filled with buffalo-spiced chicken and cheese make a quick, crowd-pleasing appetizer.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked shredded chicken
  • 4 ounces cream cheese at room temperature
  • 1/3 cup buffalo sauce
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup sliced green onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 24 wonton wrappers
  • olive oil spray

Instructions

  • In a medium mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, softened cream cheese, buffalo sauce, shredded mozzarella, sliced green onion, and garlic powder; stir until evenly mixed.
  • Spoon a heaping 2 teaspoons of the filling into the center of each wonton wrapper.
  • Brush the edges of each wrapper with a little water, fold to seal (into a triangle or desired shape), and press edges firmly to close.
  • Lightly spray the air fryer basket with olive oil spray and arrange wontons in a single layer without overcrowding; work in batches if needed.
  • Spray the tops of the wontons lightly with olive oil spray and air fry at 400°F for 8–10 minutes, or until golden brown and crisp.
  • Remove the wontons and serve immediately with ranch or blue cheese dressing if desired.

Notes

  • Use room-temperature cream cheese for easier mixing.

  • Cooked shredded chicken can be rotisserie or leftover chicken.
